謹賀新年

2012年が始まりました。
新しい年が平和であります様に。昨年3月に被災した人々が
早く健康と幸せを取り戻す事が出来ます様に。病める人、貧しい人、親を亡くした子供達、
体に障害のある人、傷ついた心を持つ人に、神のあたたかいご加護がありますように。

一月は、「睦月」、「祝月」、「献春」とも。
門松、注連縄、お屠蘇、初詣は、今に辛うじて残る古き良き時代のものですが、
２１世紀にふさわしい文化の発展と、近隣国を含めた世界中の国々との
友好を祈りたいと思います。
龍にちなんで今年こそ大きなジャンプを願って、スタート！

Happy New Year！

2012 has begun.
May the New Year be peaceful. May the people who suffered in the earthquake last
March quickly regain their health and happiness.
May the sick, poor, children who have lost their parents, disabled and
those with wounded hearts receive God’s warm blessings.

January is also called Mutsuki, Iwaizuki and Kenshun.
Decorative pines boughs (kadomatsu), sacred straw ropes (shimenawa), spiced sake
(toso) and first visits to shrines and temples (hatsumode) are the remaining vestiges of
the good old days, but we pray for cultural development suited for the 21^st century and
friendship with countries near and far.
This year is the year to hope for great leaps like a dragon. Let’s get started!
