白い入道雲、青い空、降りそそぐ蝉しぐれ。待望の夏休み――海へ、山へ、海外へそしてお盆を過ごすための帰郷。
京都では8月16日に五山に送り火が灯されます。
8月13日～16日の間、亡くなったご先祖様の魂が自分の家へ帰ってきて、送り火に照らされまた浄土へ帰っていかれるとのことです。　合掌

Great white clouds, blue skies, the sound of cicadas... The long- awaited summer vacation has finally arrived, and people are going to the sea, to the mountains, to foreign countries, and also to their hometown for "Obon." In Kyoto the "Okuribi", farewell bonfires, will be lit on the five mountains on August 16. It is believed that between August 13 and 16, the souls of deceased relatives come to visit us, and then return to the Pure Land with the Okuribi fires. We offer our prayers.
